Pollet’s Martial Arts Centre has something for the whole family. Whether you want to train to become a champion, or train for the fitness, or relaxation away from the pressures of everyday life, we have the right programs and classes for you.

At Pollet’s Martial Arts Centre, we offer a range of fighting and defensive methods to suit any style. Our Adults Self-Defence Classes introduce the basic methods and techniques to beginner students, along with offering advanced classes for intermediate and professional students.

Our different programs cater from just two years of age, right through to our Senior Citizen Members. Our classes & curriculum include Okinawan Karate & Kobudo, Kata, Koshiki, Jiu-Jitsu, Muay Thai, Boxing, MMA & Cage Fighting, Sculpt Tone Stretch & Meditation.

Which Fighting Style is Right for You?

Before enrolling in our Adults Self-Defence Lessons, you need to decide which style of Martial Arts is right for you. There are many questions you can ask yourself in order to assist you in making this decision, such as:

Am I Capable of Performing These Techniques?

We don’t expect you to be the strongest person in the dojo. However, you must be capable of mastering the basic techniques your chosen discipline requires, before you can progress to more advanced techniques. Choose a style that reflects your physical capabilities and be aware of any medical conditions that may inhibit your progress.

Am I Interested In Learning Defensive Manoeuvres?

While all of our Self Defence Lessons teach you how to protect yourself, some disciplines are more focused on defensive moves than others. Kempo Jiu-jitsu is ideal for learning grabbling and holding techniques, which you can use to quickly disarm opponents, without resorting to punching and kicking moves.

Do I Wish To Master Punching and Kicking Techniques?

Styles like Karate, Muay Thai, Kickboxing, and Mixed Martial Arts (MMA)  focus heavily on footwork and help develop punching, kicking and blocking techniques. These fighting styles are ideal for students wishing to master their hand-to-hand combat skills.

Am I Interested in Fighting in the Ring or Cage?

Contact sports like MMA & Cage Fighting, Kickboxing, Muay Thai and traditional Boxing are all performed within a ring or MMA Cage. If you wish to hone your skills within a professional ring or MMA cage, any of these styles could be right for you.

Kids Karate Lessons

For children ages 2 years and up, we offer specialised programs at a variety of year levels. These classes are designed to improve your child’s self-confidence, discipline and teach them respect towards their friends, family and peers.

These classes are conducted in the safety of our professional dojos and taught by qualified trainers, who have years of experience working with children of all ages.

Senior Citizen Programs

For Pollet’s members over the age of 60, we offer specialised Senior Programs for any fighting style. These Adults Self-Defence Classes introduce the basic techniques and manoeuvres to your chosen discipline and are conducted within the physical capabilities of each senior student.
