Claire Todd is one of three mixed martial arts (MMA) fighters in Caged: The Intimate Stories of Australia’s Cage Fighters, in which she shares her story of empowerment, understanding and regrets after taking up the sport.
But when she is not fighting, she can be found breeding Hereford cattle and thoroughbred horses with her father near Bathurst.
Ms Todd said she had changed some of her opinions about MMA, learnt the hard way about the pitfalls of rapid weight loss when preparing for a fight and said she had found parallels between farming and fighting.
