Students put to the test by Ajarn Ian Pollet
Muay Thai Fighters Grade In Dubbo
Kru Matt March hosted a Muay Thai grading in the Pollets Martial Arts Centre in Dubbo on Friday, 13th June 2014.
The senior instructor and grading examiner was Ajarn Ian Pollet who oversaw the 20 students who tested themselves in their effort to climb another rank towards the top of their chosen martial art. Two and a half hours of intense technique examination concluded with 100 pushups put the students to the test, however they conducted themselves well and all twenty of the students passed.
The students are graded under the MTIA (Muay Thai International Association) founded by the Great Grand Master Toddy in Thailand and expanded in Australia by Ajarn Ian Pollet.
The qualifications are recognised by the Royal Thai Government Department of Education and each grade and certificate is registered by that organisation.
Speaking of the grading, Ajarn Pollet said; “The extension of life that has to be part of everything”. Ajarn Pollet was explaining how when extending yourself as the students had tonight, so should they apply this to all aspects of that life. He said; “Kru Matt should be very proud of his students. He has done brilliant work with them and it showed in the grading tonight. Both his low ranking students and his senior experienced ones demonstrated all the methods and techniques of Muay Thai”.
Combined grading for Orange & Bathurst students will be held at Pollets Martial Arts Centre Bathurst on Tuesday the 17th June, Penrith on Wednesday the 18th June and Granville on Thursday the 19th June.
